How Scoring Works

Every pick is either a Buy or a Sell on a player's ADP — Average Draft Position, blended across Underdog, DraftKings, and Drafters. A lower ADP means a player is going earlier, i.e. is more valued.

Buy a player if you think their ADP is about to get better (lower) — you're betting they rise in value.
Sell a player if you think their ADP is about to get worse (higher) — you're betting they fall.

You win points when you're right and lose points when you're wrong, and the size of the swing matters — a bigger move earns a bigger score.

Scoring is based on the percentage an ADP moved, not the raw number of spots. A player who moves from ADP 100 to ADP 50 (cut in half) scores exactly the same as one who moves from ADP 10 to ADP 5 (also cut in half) — a hunch on a late-round sleeper is scored on the same footing as a hunch on a first-round riser.

ADP Settlement point is two weeks after a contest begins (i.e. one week after contest entry window closes).

Scoring a pick, step by step

Each pick is subject to the same scoring formula that scales the result according to the player's original ADP. So a player in the first round moving up one ADP slot is treated similarly to a player in the 200s moving up an entire round.

Correct pick (Buy)
50.0Start ADP
→
25.0End ADP
score = +1 × ln(50.0 ÷ 25.0)↳ 50.0 ÷ 25.0 = 2.00
score = +1 × ln(2.00) = +0.693
points = 0.693 × 100 = +69.3
Incorrect pick (Buy)
50.0Start ADP
→
100.0End ADP
score = +1 × ln(50.0 ÷ 100.0)↳ 50.0 ÷ 100.0 = 0.50
score = +1 × ln(0.50) = -0.693
points = -0.693 × 100 = -69.3

Example: Find Five card

This is a hypothetical sample for what a graded card might look like given starting and ending ADPs.

#PlayerDirectionStart ADPEnd ADPPoints
1RB Barry Sanders DETBUY24.012.0+69.3
2QB Steve Young SFSELL40.080.0+69.3
3TE Tony Gonzalez KCBUY55.055.0+0.0
4RB Curtis Martin NYJSELL30.020.0-40.5
5WR Ed McCaffrey DENBUY90.0120.0-28.8
Total Score
+69.3 pts

For the curious: each leg's score is (Buy: +1, Sell: −1) × the natural log of (Start ADP ÷ End ADP), shown here ×100 as points. Your entry's total is just the sum of every leg — no separate formula for the whole card.
